Brian Harbour

After serving as a pastor of a local church for 41 years, Dr. Harbour retired from the church in April, 2007 to develop an organization called SeminaryPLUS to provide coaching and continuing education for church leaders, beginning with pastors and eventually including other staff members.

God has been preparing Dr. Harbour for this assignment
all of his life.

As a graduate of Baylor University, where he also received his Ph.D. degree in theology, he received excellent preparation for his life work as a pastor and Christian leader.

As the pastor of nine churches of all sizes in five different states, he learned through personal experience both the opportunities and the challenges of being a pastor.

As a member of the Baylor University Board of Regents and the Baylor Health Care System Board and as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas for two years, he learned what it means to be a leader.

As an adjunct professor at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University for more than a decade, he developed a system for teaching young ministers to preach.

As the author of fifteen books and dozens of articles on multiple subjects, he learned to communicate with a variety of audiences on multiple subjects.

As a member of the National Speakers Association for fifteen years, he has been exposed to the best resources available for effective communication.

As the producer of a journal for preachers called Brian’s Lines, he has provided quality resource material and sermon helps for pastors for nearly a quarter of a century.

All of his life experiences have prepared him for this new ministry in which he will sit down with pastors in group conferences and in individual consultations to encourage them as they face the unparalleled challenges of ministry today and help them to get connected to the amazing resources that are available to meet those challenges.
