As
the pastor of nine churches of all sizes in five different states,
he learned through personal experience both the opportunities
and the challenges of being a pastor.
As
a member of the Baylor University Board of Regents and the Baylor
Health Care System Board and as Chairman of the Executive Board
of the Baptist General Convention of Texas for two years, he learned
what it means to be a leader.
As
an adjunct professor at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary
at Baylor University for more than a decade, he developed a system
for teaching young ministers to preach.
As
the author of fifteen books and dozens of articles on multiple
subjects, he learned to communicate with a variety of audiences
on multiple subjects.
As
a member of the National Speakers Association for fifteen years,
he has been exposed to the best resources available for effective
communication.
As
the producer of a journal for preachers called Brian’s Lines,
he has provided quality resource material and sermon helps for
pastors for nearly a quarter of a century.
All
of his life experiences have prepared him for this new ministry
in which he will sit down with pastors in group conferences and
in individual consultations to encourage them as they face the
unparalleled challenges of ministry today and help them to get
connected to the amazing resources that are available to meet
those challenges. |
